Player guide
From your first login to commanding a settlement defense, every system feeds a persistent character and world.
Launch the Unreal Engine client, sign in, choose a persistent character and enter the 3D world at your saved position. The website account is currently for this community portal and forum; game-client access is distributed separately during development.
Use third-person movement and camera controls to explore. Combat is active: attack, block, dodge, switch weapons and manage health, stamina and mana. Hostile NPCs can detect, chase and attack players, villagers and soldiers.
Interact with characters in the world, accept quest offers and track objectives through the quest journal and on-screen tracker. Tutorials introduce controls and systems without taking control away from the player.
Find resource nodes and begin timed gathering actions. Collected materials enter your persistent inventory and support crafting, farming and construction. World resources can disappear when harvested and return through respawn rules.
Open the crafting interface to review recipes, material costs and skill requirements. Craft weapons, shields, potions and other useful goods; the server validates and consumes the required materials as one transaction.
Choose a structure type, place it in the world and contribute materials until construction is complete. Structures can be maintained, repaired, damaged or destroyed. Village systems track resources, population and production.
Plant and harvest crops to add reliable resources to your economy. Trade interfaces support merchants and player exchange, connecting gatherers, crafters and builders.
Raise militia and other player-owned units from your settlement. Select units, arrange formations and issue patrol, escort, follow or attack orders. Soldiers defend and fight; villagers flee danger and support the village economy.
GEA Online connects individual combat to organized warfare through construction, firelinks, unit command and siege projectiles. Protect your people, resources and structures while threatening those of your enemies.
