Frequently Asked Questions

Clear answers about the real game, its current technology and this community website.

What is GEA Online?

GEA Online is an independent third-person 3D MMORPG built with Unreal Engine 5. It combines persistent characters and active combat with gathering, crafting, construction, villages, farming, trade, quests, militia command and siege gameplay.

Is GEA Online a browser game?

No. The game itself is a downloadable Unreal Engine client for Windows PC. GEAMMO.com is a separate PHP/MySQL community and information website.

Does my website account log me into the game?

Not currently. Website accounts provide access to this forum and community portal. The game client uses its own account and character services during development.

What stage is development in?

GEA Online is under active development. Core multiplayer login, character spawning, movement, inventory, combat, gathering, crafting, quests, construction, villages, farming, trade, chat, NPC AI and player-unit systems are represented in the current codebase, while content and polish continue to evolve.

How does combat work?

Combat takes place in real time from a third-person perspective. Players attack, block, dodge, switch weapons and manage health, stamina and mana. Hostile NPCs can pursue and attack players or their units.

Can I build in the world?

Yes. Construction includes structure selection and placement, material contributions, repair, destruction and persistent firelink-related systems.

What makes villages important?

Villages connect resources, population, production, structures and trained units. They turn gathering and crafting into a strategic settlement loop rather than isolated menus.

Can I command NPC units?

Players can own and command militia-style units. Current systems include selection, formations, patrol, escort, follow and attack behavior, plus autonomous defense and fleeing behavior.

Are crafting and farming persistent?

The game service stores character inventory and world state. Recipes consume verified materials, while farms and crops support planting, growth, chopping and harvesting.

Where should I follow development or report problems?
